On Monday, the 2022 Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest returns to Coney Island. Two competitive eaters will strive to break their records.

Joey "Jaws" Chestnut will eat on crutches due to an injured tendon. He hopes to break his record of 76 hot dogs and buns (HDBs) and win his 15th Mustard Belt in 16 years.

Miki Sudo will return for Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest 2022 to strive for her record eighth title and to top her all-time mark of 48.5 HDBs set in 2020.

After a two-year pandemic-related absence, the festival will return to Coney Island.

Matt Stonie beat Chestnut 62-60 in 2015, but he's consumed at least 70 HDBs every year since.

In the men's competition, Chestnut is listed as a -3000 favorite by Caesars Sportsbook, which means a winning wager of $3000 would pay out $100. Take Chestnut at +1200 on the men's field. (12-1 odds).

In 14 of the past 15 years, Chestnut has been the champion. By the end of the 10-minute time limit, Chestnut had devoured 76 hot dogs and buns, setting a new record.

There is an over/under of 76.5 hot dogs for Chestnut's performance today at Caesars.
