John Bolton Is 'Shamefully Disappointed' at the Cost of His Assassination

Bolton joked about an assassination plot on Wednesday, saying the assassin's salary was too low.

From 2018–2019, Bolton was Trump's national security advisor, but he has subsequently turned into a Trump critic.

The DOJ stated the attempt to murder Bolton was "likely revenge" for the killing of Qassem Soleimani in 2020.

According to court filings, Poursafi first promised an anonymous source $250,000 to "remove" Bolton on November 19, 2021.

Bolton has advocated for government change in Iran and claimed to have staged coups d'état in July.

Bolton said Trump didn't try a coup on January 6, 2021.
