Conor McGregor's "underrated athlete" comment is disputed by UFC fans.

McGregor offended fans by declaring himself a "underrated athlete" despite not winning in three years.

McGregor, 34, is rehabbing from a broken tibia suffered against Dustin Poirier last July.

He's slated to return in the first quarter of next year, but recently alarmed supporters by revealing his leg isn't "absolutely" ready.

There will have been over three years since the Irishman's last victory if he returns next year.

McGregor was stopped twice by Poirier last year and last won in January 2020 against Donald Cerrone.

McGregor tweeted a photo with the caption "underrated athlete." Fans pointed out his dismal MMA record.

One person said, "Overrated and finished," and another said, "You're a washed-up athlete."

McGregor won the featherweight division and became the first UFC fighter to hold two championships at once.
