Actress Robyn Griggs, of "Another World" and "One Life to Live," passed away at age 49.

Robyn Griggs suffered cervical cancer for years before she died.

After her soap opera performances, Griggs kept out of the spotlight and performed in indie horror films.

A friend monitoring her Facebook account posted her death Saturday.

"I'm devastated," the statement added. "She's no longer suffering, so let's remember the wonderful moments."

She shared her tale to help others. I felt honoured. RIP my friend, I love and miss you."

Robyn will enter hospice care "today or tomorrow," her father said on Facebook.

"Her courage, bravery, and grace are inspiring. Please continue to pray for Robyn and her family "posted.

Griggs had two liver tumours, one abdominal muscle tumour, and one lymph node tumour last month.

In 2020, the Pennsylvania native received a stage 4 endocervical adeno carcinoma diagnosis.

Before her soap fame, Griggs appeared on Nickelodeon's "Rated K" from 1986-88.
