Olivia Munn, Baby Malcolm surprise John Mulaney onstage for his 40th birthday

During John Mulaney’s most recent performance at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee, Malcolm Hip, the son of Olivia Munn and John Mulaney, surprised his father with the best 40th birthday present ever by interrupting the comic in the middle of his act.

On August 27, Olivia posted a number of photographs from the heartwarming occasion to her Instagram Stories, along with the statement, “Malcolm surprised John on stage last night to sing HBD with the complete audience.” After that, he tossed some cake over John’s head and onto his shoulders.

John also shared a beautiful photo of himself and his 9-month-old son on a stage that was decked out with balloons and streamers. Accompanying the image was a heartfelt caption that said, “There is definitely no better way to reach the age of 40.”

On his Instagram Stories, the former cast member of Saturday Night Live shared additional photos from the celebration, including a selfie with Olivia, 42, and Malcolm, accompanied by the statement, “Turning 40 with my small family and fist full of icing.”

In May of 2021, John and Anna Marie Tendler went public with their relationship, which came shortly after John’s divorce from his wife of six years, Anna Marie Tendler. That same year, in November, they became parents to their first child together. One month later, the toddler posted his first photo to Instagram.

John shared the first photo of their kid, Malcolm Hip Mulaney, with the message “Meet Malcolm Hip Mulaney” in a post that he published on Christmas Eve.

“He still has a good portion of his life ahead of him. Seltzer has not even been given a chance to impress him. He is just perfect in every way, and I adore him.”

Since then, the stand-up comedian and the actress have continued to give fans a glimpse into their family’s everyday lives by posting photographs and updates of their newborn child on social media.

In the beginning part of this summer, John made the announcement that Malcolm would be joining him on the road for his comedy tour. John stated that Malcolm is already an experienced traveller, which prompted Malcolm’s excitement.

“Malcolm is a terrific, great roadie,” he stated on the edition of Late Night With Seth Meyers that will air on June 22. Malcolm has a positive attitude toward travelling. Both the Westin in Buffalo and Saratoga Springs had one of those fake fireplaces with lighting pebbles, which was one of the reasons he liked staying there.

When he finally took a seat, he remarked, “Now this is what I’m talking about.”
